"In the process of creating I discovered a parallel with my everyday life. ‘Navigating’
is a short video about my search for a kind of wayfinding through life. Miniature sets
made out of grey cardboard were the starting point for a visual poem that evolved in an
intuitive way. Objects that may not seem related at first glance are put into context by
fragments of text. Stop motion animation and video combined with, what I consider
enchanting sounds give ‘Navigating’ a distinct atmosphere. Opposites such as structure
vs chaos, being in control vs trying to escape and seeing only details vs having an over-
view are the main subjects of this work. These contradictions are the themes that are part of
my everyday life and of the process of making."

GRADUATION IS OVER, AND IT WAS SUCCESFUL
We have all graduated succesfully and accepted our diploma. We are now officially Bachelors of Fine Art!
Thanks to multiple donations from both Pitchstar and local businesses, we have enough money to realize our cardbook.
And here it is! The 'special edition' for all our sponsors and people who've helped us throughout this (these) last year(s)

Pitchstar staat al een paar dagen online, en dat betekend dat we kunnen beginnen met de promotie.
Crowdfunding is een manier om sponsors te werven via een nieuwe weg. Het is begonnen in 2004 in Amerika en heeft vanaf 2009 zijn weg naar Europa gevonden. In samenwerking met de social media baant deze nieuwe manier van sponsoring zich een weg door het internet.
Ook wij zijn inmiddels deelnemers van dit innovatieve platform.
Het is erg makkelijk:
Wanneer jij 2 euro aan ons wil doneren, pak je je telefoon en sms je PITCH gevolgd door een spatie, met daarachter ons pitchnummer, 1029, naar het nummer 3010.
Je smsje ziet er dus zo uit:

Je kunt zovaak smsen als je wil.
Kun je een groter bedrag kwijt? Registreer je dan makkelijk en snel bij Pitchstar, en via internetbankieren stort jij geld op je account. Dat kun jij dan vervolgens doneren aan de pitch van jou keuze (hopelijk die van ons!!).

Recently we've pitched a request going out to everyone who is interested in our work, and supportive of our little organisation. Through something called 'crowdfunding' we hope to cover atleast half of the costs we need for our cardbook. Its very simple: either you donate €2,- once to a designated number via textmessage, or you quickly register for free on Pitchstar and donate whatever you can miss.
Once our Pitch has been approved, it will be online so YOU can help US with OUR cardbook!

What are the beliefs and hopes of young creators before they enter the official art world? What is the direction of their thoughts? This particular group of students will share their visual process before they are confronted with the expectations of the art market. The site also introduces the personal projects of the graduates before their final show in July.
In the beginning of April we opened our exhibition “Transitions”, a collective show located on two different platforms. Both of our locations featured work from constructed by our personal language, mainly on photography and audiovisual media. For each space we selected works with a different approach, adjusted to the contradictory places. P////AKT has monumental and industrial atmosphere, while Lauriergracht 160 feels more intimate.
The travel-time between the two places gave the public the opportunity to digest the works they had just observed, and could anticipate the works in the other space.
